    Goals  

The Knights of Glory and Beer are dedicated to fighting injustice, defending the virtuous, and eliminating the menace posed by the murderers that run free across Britannia’s soil. For these purposes, KGB maintains a standing army, the KGBAF, at all times. The KGBAF regularly patrols the land looking for and eliminating murders and looters. In addition, the KGBAF protects the KGB Constitution and enforces the will of the KGB High Council.

    Enlistment  

All members of KGB are encouraged to enlist in the military. To qualify for enlistment, an applicant must be of neutral or higher alignment and meet the minimum qualifications to become a Page. Applicants may either apply to a division General or contact the KGB Warlord for division and unit placement.

    Divisions  

The KGB Armed Forces is currently divided into divisions. Each division is commanded by an officer with a rank of at least General and one Knight Captian. A division can also be comprised of as many Knight Commanders as it needs. Division designations are primarily for record keeping, tracking and organizational purposes. Mixed division missions on temporary missions are not only acceptable they are encouraged and expected.

  • GuildMaster

    The KGB Constitution states that the Guild Master is Commander in Chief of all KGB military forces. The Guild Master is ultimately responsible for the performance and actions of all military units. The Guild Master is authorized to use military force to respond to emergencies and to carry out the will of the KGB High Council.

    Responsibilities

    The Guild Master is responsible for exercising his emergency powers when necessary and keeping the Warlord informed of the changing military state.

    Warlord to

    The position of Warlord was created by the GuildMaster to restructure, refocus and then run the KGB Military. Reporting to the Guild Master, The Warlord is responsible for all ongoing military actions and is the top of the military chain of command.

    Responsibilities

    The Warlord is directly responsible for the performance and actions of all military divisions.The Warlord may assign promotions and demotions (including general with the consensus of the Guild Master) and may restructure divisions. The Warlord will plan and organize all major military actions and is charged with making the KGB military the best they can be. He is also responsible for making sure the military carries out the will of the Guild Master and High Council.

     

    Requirements

    Proven warrior and tactician

    Appointed by the Guild Master with the approval of the High Council.

    Limitations

    Warlord is a solitary position.

    Knight General to

    Reporting to the Warlord, Generals are the site commanders of their Divisions.

    Responsibilities

    They are ultimately responsible for the tactics and discipline of their group. They will design and implement strategies for their division. A General is responsible for reviewing and/or requesting promotions or awards for soldiers in his division. Members of the division are bound by honor to follow the orders assigned to them by their General.

    Requirements

    The candidate must have proven himself to be an excellent warrior and tactician. The KGB Warlord with the agreement of the Guild Master appoints Generals.

    Limitations

    One General per active division in the KGB military.

     

    Field General

    Reporting to the Warlord, Field General's only concern is leading on site in times of war.

    Responsibilities

    The Field General is the Champion of the command staff. They have shown countless times that they understand the art of war and how to lead others to victory. They have one concern only: Winning battles. A Field General will take charge of a mission or battle only if there are no other Generals who wish command. They are above all Knight Captains and Commanders. These men and women have earned the respect as a killing machine among their comrades and now take that knowledge to use in commanding others to do the same.

    Requirements

    The candidate must have proven himself to be one of the best warriors and tacticians KGB has to offer. The KGB Warlord with the agreement of the Guild Master appoints Field Generals.

    Limitations

    The Field General does not command a division.

     

    Knight Captain

    The Knight Captain is the best of the best in the commanding department. A Knight Captain helps the General lead and train his troops to get results. The Knight Captain is usually the next one in line to be General and therefore is acting General in the Generals absence. The Knight Captain is the Generals right hand man, and as such is above all Knight Commanders in his division and is expected to work closely with the General to carry out his will.

    Responsibilities

    A Knight Captain is responsible for reviewing, maintaining and improving the status of the troops in his division. He is required to undertake whatever training is necessary for his troops. The Knight Captian submits a weekly report of his divisions progress (kills, deaths, etc.) to the divisions general and Warlord. Members of their division are bound by honor to follow the orders assigned to them by their Knight Captain.

    Requirements

    Must be powerful warriors with vast battle experience

    Well versed in battle tactics

    Appointed by Division General and KGB Warlord

    Limitations

    One Knight Captain per active division in the KGB Military.

     

      Knight Commander

    The Knight Commander is an excellent warrior who leads a unit in both word and deed. A Knight Commander leads with a weapon in his hand and is frequently found shouting orders on the front lines.

    Responsibilities

    A Knight Commander is responsible for carrying out the orders of his General and Knight Captain. He is responsible to lead his or her men onto the field of battle. Members of their unit are bound by honor to follow the orders assigned to them by their Knight Commander. There can be as many Knight Commanders as needed by the division General under the approval of the Warlord.

    Requirements

    Must be powerful warriors with vast battle experience

    Well versed in battle tactics

    Appointed by Division General and KGB Warlord

    None

    Champion

    The pinnacle of Knighthood. The Champion is the embodiment of valor. This fearsome combat machine has mastered the art of war.

    Responsibilities

    One who has risen to the title of champion must not rest on their laurels. They must continue to take the fight into the heart of enemy territory.

    Requirements

    Attained rank of Supreme Knight

    A total of one hundred twenty (120) kills

    Limitations

    None

    Supreme Knight

    Raw power embodied. The Supreme Knight is a fearsome combat machine. A Supreme Knight has mastered the art of war and foes fear his presence on the battlefield.

    Requirements

    Attained the rank of High Knight

    A total of eighty (80) kills

    Grandmaster in four (4) combat skills

    A Magery of 80

    Limitations

    None

     

    High Knight

    The High Knight has demonstrated proficiency in combat far beyond that of a Master and has attained excellence beyond a single weapon.

    Requirements

    Attained the rank of Master Knight

    Grandmaster in three (3) combat skills

    A total of sixty (60) kills

    Limitations

    None

    Master Knight

    Having proven themselves in combat, Knights may take on the title of Master Knight. The Master Knight is well experienced in the art of war. Having finished honing their primary weapon skills, Master Knights often begin to diversify learning the use of other weapons.

    Requirements

    Attained the rank of Knight

    Grand Master in two (2) combat skills

    A total of fourty (40) kills

    Limitations

    None

    Knight

    The Knight represents the embodiment of the ideals of The KGB. They have demonstrated both Honor and Valor while pursuing the evil which stalks the Pacific Shard. A Knight has become more than a warrior and has demonstrated the art of virtuous living.

    Requirements

    Must have obtained Apprentice Knight Rank

    Grandmaster in one (1) combat skill

    Must have Magery of 75

    Must have a strength of 75

    Must have attained title of Honorable

    Total of ten (10) kills

    Limitations

    None

    Apprentice Knight

    The Apprentice Knight has honed his skills and is capable of assisting in the field of battle beyond merely healing.

    Requirements

    Must have obtained Squire Rank

    Master (skill 93+) in three (3) combat skills

    Total of five (5) kills

    Limitations

    None

    Squire

    A Squire is a promising candidate who has advanced his skills beyond the state of Page. Squires are frequently found at combat sites taking an active role in combat or providing support functions such as healing.

    Requirements

    Must have obtained the title of Page.

    Master (skill 93+) in two (2) combat skills

    Magery of 60

    Total of two (2) kills

    Limitations

    None

    Page

    Admission into the military earns you the title of Page. Pages spend most of their time raising skills and becoming familiar with KGB tactics. Players are expected to quickly advance from Page to Squire. Failure to advance should be taken as a warning sign.

    Responsibilities

    Pages are expected to advance to the rank of Squire as quickly as possible increasing whatever skills are necessary.

    Requirements

    Master (skill 93+) in one (1) combat skill

    Magery of 50 (capable of recall reliably)

    Neutral or better notoriety

    Limitations

    There is no limit to the number of novices permitted in the KGB military at any one time. However, common sense dictates to keep this number reasonable low so as not to dilute the ranks with untrained soldiers nor overwhelm all our experienced soldiers with training duties.

        Requirements  

    Combat skills are defined as Archery, Fencing, Mace Fighting, Swordsmanship, Wrestling, Magery, Parrying, Tactics, and Resisting Magic. (Will include Anatomy and Evaluating Intelligence after patch)

    Combat Support Skills are defined as Animal Taming, Forensic Evaluation, Healing, Poisoning, Tracking and Spirit Speak.

    A Kill is defined as the contribution to the damage related conditions of a battle. Specifically, lowering the enemy health by weapon or spell, or increasing the health of members and allies. KGB recognizes that by healing, curing, blessing, and protecting other warriors, a valid contribution is made to the outcome of any battle. Kills occur only during battle. A Kill is best documented by a screen shot of the corpse. Secondary proof can come from screen shots combined with testimony from witnesses. A kill can be taken from any person KGB is currently at war with or anyone who enacts aggression against you or your comrades.


        Documentation  

    Kill shots are to be documented using a screen shot program and given to your General ONLY when you are requesting a change in rank. You are to keep track of your own kill shots until such time. Screen shots can also be given to the KGB Warlord to request the Order of the KGB Award.

    Member of Armed Forces Conduct Code

    1. All members of the KGB Armed Forces must obey their assigned commanding officer's orders without question.
    2. All members must SALUTE any member of the Armed Forces (regardless of rank), any members of the High Council, and any Member of the Executive Branch.
    3. Members have the right to report conduct of their superiors to the CIC without fear on reprisal AFTER a situation occurs. If you do not agree with your commander, you are still required to carry out his orders at that time, but may request a review.
    4. General's will be referred to as GENERAL followed by their name when on active duty. Members that possess a military rank will be referred to as SIR followed by their name.
    5. You will be placed on ACTIVE DUTY during emergencies and when your Commanding officer calls you to action. You may ask to be excused if extenuating circumstances arise.
    6. All members will uphold the highest level of duty and responsibility. Members are dedicating to helping others and to uphold the laws of the KGB Constitution.

  • Awards and Medals

     

    The KGB High Council Medal of Honor

    This Medal is the KGB's highest honor. It is bestowed on an individual by proposition and vote by the KGB High Council. Recipients of the Medal are certainly among the elite of Britannia. A Candidate must show amazing, almost impossible skill, ability and bravery in a COMBAT situation. Only in the rarest of occasions does the Council consider this award. Recipients of this medal may wear gold gloves as part of their uniform.

     

    The KGB High Council Medal Of Valor

    This Medal is the KGB's second highest honor. It is bestowed on an individual by proposition and vote by the KGB High Council. This Medal is a way for the council to award a soldier for showing the ultimate bravery in a COMBAT situation. It is almost a requirement that the recipient die and sacrifice his notoriety to receive this ultimate badge of courage. Only in the rarest of occasions does the Council consider this award. Recipients of this medal may wear black gloves as part of their uniform.

    The KGB Silver Star

    The Medal is the Military's highest honor. It is bestowed on an individual by the CIC in conjunction with the commanding General. It is a way for the Military to recognize a soldiers uncommon valor and effectiveness in a COMBAT situation.

    Golden Order of the KGB Award

    To join the ranks of the Golden Order of the KGB, a soldier must present 100 documented kills (Screen Shot Required) of criminals that have been determined enemies of the KGB. You are not limited to one award. You may receive 1 per 100 documented kills.

    Order of the KGB Award

    To join the ranks of the Order of the KGB, a soldier must present 10 documented kills (Screen Shot Required) of criminals that have been determined enemies of the KGB. You are not limited to one award. You may receive 1 per 10 documented kills.

    The KGB GuildMasters Golden Cross

    This Medal is bestowed on an individual by the GuildMaster himself. It is a way for the top ranking officer to recognize individuals for exemplary service to him and to the Guild.

     

    The KGB Prime Ministers Golden Cross

    This Medal is bestowed on an individual by the Prime Minister. It is a way for him to recognize individuals for exemplary service to him and to the Guild.

     

    The KGB Distinguished Service Cross

    The Medal is a great honor to receive. It is bestowed on an individual by the CIC in conjunction with the commanding General. Soldiers that are especially innovative and stand out in their units are candidates to receive this award. It is awarded when a Service award just is not enough.

    Quarterly Service Medal

    Members will receive the award for every three months of service to the guild. You must apply for this award to receive it. If you have served the KGB for three months or more, contact the GuildMaster.

     

    The KGB Service Medal

    Soldiers that perform service over and above the call of duty in both COMBAT and NON-COMBAT situations. The Medal is a honor to receive. It is bestowed on an individual by the CIC in conjunction with the commanding General.

     

    The KGB High Council Guild Service Medal

    This Medal is the KGB's highest non-military honor. It is bestowed on an individual by proposition and vote by the KGB High Council. This is a way for the KGB High Council to recognized the contributions and services other than military. This award may be presented to individuals outside of the KGB or to an entire guild.

     


    The KGB GSS

    Guild Secret Service Division

    A new special division was created by the GuildMaster JetStar. The KGB Guild Secret Service Division. This special division of the KGB armed forces will specialize in protection of KGB Executive officers, covert operations and the gathering of defense intelligence information. The GSS will not carry standard military ranks and will report directly to the GuildMaster. Its leader will carry the title of Minister. All KGB GSS operations are considered Classified

    KGB Guild Secret Service Division directed by GSS Minister Colin

     

    GSS Captain
    This is the highest rank in the GSS. Captains will be responsible for running GSS operations and reporting results to the Minister (GSSM). Captains will administrate all levels of GSS agents and provide direct administrative support to the GSSM. Captains must be full time GSS officers (Members of the Armed Forces or other divisions cannot advance beyond Senior Agent). GSS Captains have a license to kill anyone without question as long as it fits into their mission. At this high level of GSS rank, GSS Captains are free to persue matter of Guild security as they see fit. GSS Captains only take orders directly from the KGB GSSM or under special circumstances from the GuildMaster himself.

    GSS Commander
    This is the second highest rank in the GSS. It represents the ultimate in non-administrative ranbk in the Guild Secret Service. GSS Commanders will have the freedom to persue subjects that they feel are important to Guild Security. They also carry an unrestricted license to kill anyone that interfears with their mission of protecting Guild Security. Commanders have the authority to take action, the trust to take chances, and the backup of the entire Guild. Commanders will be our most effective agents. Commanders must be full time GSS officers (Members of the Armed Forces or other divisions cannot advance beyond Senior Agent).

    GSS Lieutenant
    This ranks seperates experienced agents from GSS Officers. Lieutenants must be full time GSS officers (Members of the Armed Forces or other divisions cannot advance beyond Senior Agent). GSS Officers have made covert operations and intelligence gathering their primary focus in their decision to become a GSS Officer. GSS Officers must not be a member of any other KGB Organization or Division. During the most delicate of GSS operations, only GSS officers will be choosen to take part. All GSS operations are not to be discussed with any non-GSS Member unless instructed by the GSS Minister or KGB GuildMaster. By dedicating your career to the GSS you will be a part of the Guild Security inner sanctum, helping the GuildMaster and KGB government make educated decisions about the future of the Guild.

    GSS Senior Agent
    This rank represents a KGB Guild Member that takes part in KGB GSS operations on a regular basis and is experienced in the arts of intelligence gathering and covert operations. Senior GSS Agents may also me involved in other divisions and may hold other offices within the Guild. This is the highest rank a GSS member may receive without becomming full time GSS. While taking part in GSS opertations SA's report to GSS officers. You must complete several missions and have the respect of the GSS officers before you can reach the rank of SA.

    GSS Agent
    This rank represents a license to take part in KGB GSS covert and intelligence gathering opporations. You can become a GSS agent by contacting the GSSM and requesting a position. If intelligence gathering and the "spy" thing are your interest, then the KGB GSS is for you!

     


    The Paladins of Glory and Beer

    Paladins do not fall under Military rule for they are the spiritual branch of the KGB. Our Paladin brothers report directly to the GuildMaster and focus on one thing and one thing only, the art of War. Leaving their ranks and titles behind, they have sworn their lives to the art of combat. Creating a new order in the KGB, these men have been chosen to follow the path of the Paladin. They will not be distracted with Guild Politics. Combat is their religion, and new techniques and fighting evil will be their focus.

    Out of respect for this new order, it is forbidden to request to join. If you are to be a Paladin, you will be approached. Only the Paladins know when the time is right for you to become one. One should always show respect toward these deciples of war, as they represent combat in its purest form.
