Cristobal Harper the Silver Surfer writes: I am writing to you to inform you of the lack of honor in the KGB. Perhaps there was once a time when KGB was not a collection of lamers nevertheless, it is not now. Here are the two Incidents that I witnessed that Convinced me that KGB is no better than the people, they fight. The first is the attack on Rosencratz in his house whill he was timing out. Jeez I do not think KGB can point any figures about bug exploitation after that one. You see Jetstar used a targeting bug to be able to attack Rose with a meteor Swarm spell. The second event happened later that night during the fight with PO. My guild was helping KGB fight the Pirate Overlords at the crossroads. At the end of the fight Lynn Rose GM WonderWomen of Superman's Fan Club was slain because she was grey after she had been helping KGB for half an Hour!!! Now that is just lame. So now, we have declared war on KGB and they have not yet responded if there is any honor in KGB they will accept war and not force us to get murder counts in response to their unfounded aggression on our GM. And I was wondering why you put in others exploits Jetstar but you do not put in your own? Hmm why noy talk about how you killed Rosencratz in his house or perhaps how you murderered peple that helped you win the fight at the cross roads hmmm? ah will just another sign of your over all lameness. GuildMaster JetStar's response, Cristobal, Thank you for writing in. First of all lets talk about the Rosecrantz kill. Rosecratz was not timing out, he was in the house macroing off his murder count after killing countless innocents to help finance NC's war effort. Targeting a door with a Meteor is not a bug or exploit. Meteor Swarm is a area of effect spell. this means if you choose to buy a very small house and you wish to us it to macro off murders, you are not safe. I personally consider macroing immoral and and exploit. I dont tell others not to do, but dont practice it myself. You also said "At the end of the fight Lynn Rose GM WonderWomen of Superman's Fan Club was slain because she was grey after she had been helping KGB for half an Hour!!! Now that is just lame. ". Once again you dont have the facts straight. Lynn Rose attacked an innocent KGB recruit that was not yet on the stone for no reason. She was therefore targetted and slain. If this was a misunderstanding I would be happy to refund the equipment and belongings she lost. If you know KGB you know our mission is to support the forces of good and persecute the forces of evil. If you and your Guild are "Good" then I consider us fighting the same battle. However in my ignorance UO told me that the PKer must kill 5 persins before he is a criminal and even then after killing 5 he can macro the time away so the 5th reduced to 4. Michael of (NC) Wrote: I am EXTREMELY offended by your latest news. The "facts" you presented about me are horribly innacurate. In the first Occlo fight in which I was named a "coward", I recalled only once (I was literally surrounded by enemies, and recalled to a different spot in Occlo and immediately continued fighting - I couldn't begin to count how many KGB recalled from me), fought with only 3 other guildmembers in what must have been against at least 10+ KGB/orders, and killed 3 players by myself with my poisoned katana. I have not recalled from a 1 on 1 battle in MONTHS. I'm not sure who your source is for this (It wasn't Jetstar because I didnt even see him there), but I suggest you perhaps ask around. I know for a fact that Derid, who was at the battle, can vouch for my battle skills, and I would appreciate a public correction. Entries for 12/13/98 Introducing The Avengers I am John Steed guildmaster of The Avengers. I wanted to touch bases with you and introduce myself. Our guild is a relative newcomer on the scene. We play the Pacific Shard with aspirations to expand to EverQuest. The guild is small but growing. We are somewhat an off-shoot of The Sisterhood. Lady Peaches knows of us and as security for KGB I'm sure her opinion is highly valued. Ask her about us. I would like to propose an alliance between our guilds. We are not a guild of War but association with a large and powerful guild such as the KGB would benefit us greatly. While there is not much I can offer you at this time in way of compensation it seems that our guilds have many of the same values and much in common. I will be reprinting just a few of the letters I receive in this new section called "Letters to the KGB" JetStar, I dont know if you remember me or not, but I am Odeon Muldune. I used to see you alot in the dungeon of Hythloth. I find it very amusing that all these guilds want to go to war, but they dont want to be attacked in town... If they (the other guilds declaring war) have a problem with this then tell them not to go to war, Plain and simple. Thats like telling a pk not to pk. I think if u have the man power, let that be your advantage. You really dont need to have all Badasses in your guild to be a strong guild, #'s help too. If I were u..I'd tell them all to Warm up a Fucking Bottle! Keep the dream alive man. You guys always seemed pretty cool to me even though we really never really hung together. You probably have never seen me although I've been playing Pacific server for 6 months already. I was always under the impression that the KGB (and the rest of the old PGC) were against killing the innocent. I've always held the KGB as trustworthy and honorable men and women. Last night, I witnessed Crimson Hart watch an untitled, unguilded woman named Saphire trying to fight an orc. Due to her lack of skill it quickly becamed obvious that she would lose the battle. Crimson Hart watched the battle and took no part in it at all. Eventually, the womans injuries forced her to flee from the orc. As she was making good on her escape (she was a blue innocent by the way), Crimson Hart pursued her on his horse and shot her down with his crossbow, criminal flagging himself and taking a murder count. Is this behavior typical of the KGB? Your web page would seem to indicate otherwise... In any event, a response (however short and terse) would be appreciated. Marcus T. I am amazed at the organization of the KGB and it's site! But I have a few comments to add concerning your writings... As many of you know, I am a recent new member of PO. I am proud of my comrades and do not wish to see them be killed for their previous actions. Dante VooDOO is hated by many, at one time even I hated him for his practice of PKing people. But I have ALWAYS respected him and his skills. I also respect KGB and it's members. Or I should say I did... I wandered over to a group of people on the 3rd level of Shame (Poison Elemental Room) and said only "Well well" and was about to say "Why wasn't I invited to the party?" when I was attacked by many KGB members as well as someone named Neuron who apparently hates me for reasons he won't say. Two people took a murder count for killing me, and the only thing that might be considered provoking the attack was that I am a member of PO. Seeing as one of my killers made a comment along the lines of "One less scum." Why must one be judged by the people he befriends? I constantly help others with a heal here or there, and am very generous with my potions and other services that don't take much for me to do seeing as I have merchant chars for the most part. But that's not the point. I don't have a "big head" about the nice things I've done for others, but can't find another way to prove to KGB that I'm not a "bad guy." I admit that I've been embittered by my experience in Shame that! day... I trusted KGB and all of it's members because of their apparent honor. I do so no longer. I do not hold a grudge against the KGB as a whole, my conflict is with my killers. Hell, I ressed Jet at the Covetous battle! But I would like to tell you that the members who participated have tarnished your good name as well as my trust for those who bear the name of KGB. Also, so that the KGB member who ressed me about 5-10 mins after my death and demanding to be gated from that foul place doesn't get all pissed. I am somewhat grateful for the resurrection, but was WAY too pissed at the time to say "thank you." Then again, I never did get my stuff back. I also didn't care if he killed me again, so I attacked him for the heck of it all the while taunting him and venting my frustration of being "gang raped" unprovoked. I was dispatched once again. Luckily one of my guild mates wandered in, hid from their (once again unprovoked) onslaught and gated me out. I just wanted to comment on that so I wasn't accused of "lying" by leaving the irrelevant information of my resurrection and consequential death out. I remember seeing some of your members now since I've visited the site. Before the days of the reputation fix and notoriety query I briefly had a bad notoriety after targeting my wife and partner while in combat. I nearly got whacked by an eager member of your guild until two others stopped him after I explained I was hardly playing a bad character. I was kind of pissed so offerered to take the one eager one on if he decided me anything less then honorable. We all laughed and the started chatting about the notoriety problems. Any way I loudly applaud your efforts to stop some of the riffraf that are on Ultima. I don't mind the true evil roleplayers but most seem to be of the devient kind who enjoy picking on lesser players. There is nothing I enjoy killing more than a Pk'er that is hurting a new player. For fun Jennifer and I sometimes stake each other out while the other hides. We really emjoy taking these players out. We've been helping new players and those who are trying to enjoy themselves honorably for some time now, in fact ever since we got on our feet last year. We migrated to the Pacific shard some time back and have enjoyed the game immensely since all the fixes have taken place. We are now adventuring the new lands and hope to see some of your members there as well. If I see one again I might see if one of them might sponsor us as well. With comments like the murderers will be coming soon I became uneasy becasue we went along with my newbie sister so I got her out of there.
