The Ranking of KGB Diplomacy shall be as follows:

(Initial Draft before official ratification by the High Council)

1. Alliance

An Alliance is the deepest of friendships and cooperation. For the KGB to have an alliance both guilds must sign a strict agreement to join forces and support the other. As a KGB member, you must always make an effort to greet or welcome another member of an Allied guild. If you see an Ally being attacked you must immediately assist that ally and attack his enemies Unless a) it means certain death, then you must ICQ/MIRC superiors and request Immediate assistance b) his attacker(s) are a guild allied with KGB or friendship pact with us c) it is an internal problem within their guild. Always show the deepest respect for allies, watch your language and your manners, represent your guild to the best of your ability. Examples: Crimson Sky Empire, The BlackHand

2. Friendship

A Friendship or Friendship Pact is similar to an alliance. A friendship pact means we have an official treaty/agreement with the said guild. Because of Philosophical Differences or policy disagreements a Friendship Pact may be the highest rank some guilds may obtain. Most guilds will have Friendship pacts before becoming an Alliance if our contact has been too short for an Alliance. Examples: D&S

3. Partnership

A Partnership with another guild means that our philosophies are very similar and we may/or may not have signed agreements. Partnership is a high degree of cooperation and contact meaning they are seen with KGB often and will help us and us them if the situation arises. A partnered guild usually has several friends inside KGB with ICQ's for a high degree of contact and communication.

4. Cordial

A cordial relationship means that we have encountered their guild a many times and almost all of those contacts have been peaceful. The cordial standing means that we may/or may not have an official embassy with their guild leadership but that our members have met and talked several times and are in good standing. Some good guilds or neutral guilds may have an official 'cordial standing' with an agreement signed if there goals and/or agendas differ but do not conflict with our own.

5. Understanding

An Understanding relationship means that we have only encountered the said guild a few times and most contact has been peaceful. Understanding usually means there is no official contact or embassies but the said guild is of a good alignment and most likely will raise in higher standing with further contact.

6. Neutrality

A neutral agreement means that their is no contact. However, neutral may also mean there is contact official or unofficial but because of philosophical differences or alignment differences we or they chose to remain uninvolved. The most common connotation for neutrality for the KGB will usually mean there has been no contact between our guilds.

7. Wary

All non-guilded players who are 'evil' may be wary status. This means that by definition they should be opposed to the goals and philosophies of KGB but have not shown by action or intention to be so. Guilds with a PK or questionable alignment or reputation will be given a Wary status. KGB members should be careful to not provoke or stay in prolonged contact with members or guilds who have a wary status. Some guilds who are blue but also have [Evil] status will be connoted as wary if they have never provoked or attacked KGB, innocents, or allies.

8. Belligerent

Belligerent status means there have been some violent contact with us or those of our allies. All thieves will automatically go into the Belligerent category because there beliefs and practice go against the KGB code or our constitution. Some guilds may openly taunt or ridicule KGB members or leadership. KGB members are instructed to not attack any [blue] members in the belligerent category. Members do have permission to attack any member of the Belligerent category who becomes a criminal or openly taunts or verbally attacks the KGB.

9. Hostile

We are in an unofficial state of war with all guilds in the Hostile category. All murderers and Reds are automatically in the Hostile category. You are instructed if given the opportunity to destroy any members in the Hostile category unless those members are blue. If the said guild has blue members, you are to use careful judgment in attacking them unless the GuildMaster has instructed otherwise. If a Hostile guild is encountered, call for backup, and either openly attack or wait for an opportune moment to deliver the wrath of KGB. Known PK guilds are automatically a Hostile Guild.

10. ALL-OUT-WAR

No Mercy! This means an official war has been ordered by the GuildMaster and the High Council and you are instructed to kill all members regardless of claims or protests. Rules of War are to be followed (New res killing etc) unless ordered differently by the Guildmaster or Warlord. If KGB has a 1. status with any guild then all members are to observe and follow State of Emergency procedures during normal guild functions and operations whether you are a craftsmen or military. A War status means winning the war is the number one guild priority and all other guild operations (including crafts, profit, and hunts) may be suspended unless so ordered by the Warlord or GM.
